Terms of service

Last updated 25 July 2026. Please read these terms before using pocketVitals.

This is an early draft for a family pilot and has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. It is not a substitute for legal terms and may change before any wider release.

1. Agreement to these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and pocketVitals. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use pocketVitals.

2. What pocketVitals is, and what it is not

pocketVitals is a personal health record. It helps you keep your own medical information in one place: you upload your documents and record your dialysis and vitals, and the app turns them into structured, trended data and lets you ask questions about your own record.

pocketVitals is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and does not diagnose, treat, or make clinical decisions. It presents facts from your own records and general information only. Always rely on your doctor or a qualified health professional for medical decisions. Never use pocketVitals in an emergency. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. You must give accurate information, and you are responsible for what you enter and upload. The app lets you correct any value at any time, because you know your own record best.

4. Your data

Your health information is yours. How we collect, use, store, and share it, including the outside AI processing used to read your documents and any cross-border transfer that involves, is described in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. Please read it.

5. Acceptable use

Use pocketVitals only for your own records and those you are authorised to manage. Do not use it unlawfully, do not upload anyone else's data without their permission, and do not try to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service.

6. Availability and changes

pocketVitals is provided on an as available basis and is an early product. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and there may be interruptions. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can.

7. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, pocketVitals is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the app or from reliance on information in it, including any extraction or display error. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Because the app can contain errors, always check important values against your original documents and your doctor.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using pocketVitals at any time and can ask us to delete your account and data. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we will update the version above and, where appropriate, ask you to agree again.
